A good question we get here at Garth from our clients, and especially new clients that come in the door is, why custom framing? What we like to tell folks, if you love a piece of art, it's a special piece, a family piece, a painting you just purchased that needs framing, you're normally always going to have that piece of art for a long time.

You value it, you purchased it, it was given to you, it's a family heirloom, so when you custom frame it, it's preserved. It looks great on the wall. So what some clients might try to do is use a ready-made frame and mat that they might get at a local store, and then they try to make a great piece of art and get it into that ready-made, where visually, it just does not look great.
